Makeovers

The downtown Berkeley BART plaza is getting an overhaul, and more than 100 people attended an open house on Monday evening to see the latest proposal for the outdoor plaza. The redesign includes increasing pedestrian space by 3,500 square feet. Project director Tian Feng said that the goal is to turn the "dilapidated plaza to a dignified gateway," to create a "lobby for downtown." [Berkeleyside]
