Bucks for Bikes

The city plans to double its investment in new bicycle projects by spending more than $55 million during the next two year budget cycle, which begins July 1. That money will go toward big projects such as the Second Street and Polk Street improvements, as well as toward bike parking, education and upgrades to existing bike lines. The major goal of the improvements is to improve bike safety around the city. [SF Examiner]
