San Franciscans arrive to work later than workers in almost every other city in the country, according to data from the American Census Bureau. The US has a median work start time of 7:55 AM, while employees in San Francisco show up at a median time of 8:17 AM, and three-quarters of the workforce has arrived by around 9:30 AM. New York and San Jose both have even later start times than San Francisco, although both by only a few minutes. [FiveThirtyEight]
