Changed regulations from the Golden Gate National Recreation area may new place restrictions on bonfires to cut down on littering, danger and crime. The proposed changes would require fires to end by 9PM, an hour earlier than current rules mandate, and replace the five artistic fire pits donated by Burners Without Borders with twelve new concrete pits. One main goal of the rules would be to limit fires to the designated pits rather than having them spread out along the beach. [Ocean Beach Bulletin]
