Pinterest has been on a serious search for increased square footage for the city and was reportedly in the running for the 189k square feet at 270 Brannan, but it looks as if they have been beaten out by data company Splunk. Splunk's current headquarters are just down the street at 250 Brannan. This leaves Pinterest still searching, and they may now be hunting for a short-term 60k to 80k square foot temporary lease to tide them over until they have a permanent new home. [Bisnow]
