Last month Curbed reported that there was some preliminary work being done at 350 8th Street, the future site of a 410-unit apartment community. Now word has dropped that co-developers AIG and Associated Estates Realty have secured $220 million in financing with imminent plans to move forward on the eight-building project. Kava Massih Architects is leading design of the project, which will take up an entire city block. Demolition has already begun on existing site buildings with plans to commence construction in the next couple of months. The developers will deliver the project in an unspecified series of phases, the first of which will be completed in late 2015/early 2016.
