This vast stretch of bulldozed real estate is where Apple will build its new futuristic, donut-resembling headquarters. The project, designed by Foster+Partners, is now estimated at $5 billion and construction is set to begin this quarter. When work is completed in late 2016, up to 12,000 workers will be located throughout the 176 acre campus helping Apple increase its already mind-numbing $158.8 billion fortune.
