Private Bus Drama

Some residents aren't happy about the way the MTA has handled the private commuter shuttle situation, and have filed an appeal with the Board of Supervisors. The appeal is the latest in a long brewing controversy over the private buses, and appellants claim that the MTA's policy and pilot program needs to go through full environmental review because of potential impacts including "air pollution, the displacement of people and housing, and the displacement of low income communities and communities of color that live, work, and commute in the areas proposed for Commuter Shuttle activities."
