870 Harrison in SoMa Gets Redesigned and Rendered

JS Sullivan Development's residential building at 870 Harrison has a new look. While certain elements from the original design remain intact, the balconies fronting Harrison have been nixed in favor of large bay windows. The change probably makes sense considering the building will sit on a major street, right near an oft-congested freeway. The latest version of the project is set to include 26 units "rich with modern design," four of which will be affordable. Future residents will have access to a lush rooftop garden, bicycle parking and an underground garage with 12 spaces. Just as in the original plan, PDR-restricted commercial space will enliven the ground floor. After many years on the drawing boards, the sluggish new development is now scheduled to launch this Spring.
