FiDi Condo in Landmark Building Lists for $1.55 Million

It's rare to find a stunning condo in the heart of the Financial District, but #1004 at 201 Sansome Street is special for reasons beyond its location. The 2-bed, 2.5-bath condo is located in the landmark Royal Insurance Building, which was the first built in San Francisco following the 1906 earthquake. It converted to condos in 2006. The building includes elevator lobby doors imported from a 17th-century Italian palazzo and a marble clock over the entrance with lion and unicorn carvings. The condo itself stretches over two floors in townhouse-style and went on the market yesterday for $1.55 million. It has Brazilian hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows and a marble staircase.
