New Tourism Record

Spending on tourism in San Francisco set a new record last year at $9.4 billion, easily surpassing the previous record of $8.9 billion set in 2012. The city received 16.9 million visitors last year, and numbers have been rising since 2009. With the number of tourists expected to continue increasing and few new hotels being built, the average daily rates at hotels are also expected to go up. [SF Business Times]
