LEED-Certified Mixed-Use Building Headed to Emeryville

New, 2 comments

Emeryville will soon be getting a new mixed-use building near the intersection of San Pablo and MacArthur Blvd. The 86-unit apartment building will be a mix of 670 sq.ft. one-bedroom to 1,400 sq. ft four-bedroom units. Co-developers EAH Housing and KTGY Group are seeking at minimum a LEED Silver certification using features such as a photovoltaic system and other "leading energy efficiency and environmental measures." The building will also feature a child play center, Zen garden, rooftop sky deck and 7,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail. The project's proximity to several bus lines, the MacArthur Bart station and I-580 are sure to contribute to its popularity when it opens in 2018. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring, 2016.
