If you want to spend $1 million on property in a major US city, San Francisco will get you the least bang for your buck, with only 1,502 square feet for that price. The only city that comes close is Boston, where you would get 2,092 square feet, although in New York if you consider just Manhattan and exclude the other boroughs you would end up with just 650 square feet. In Detroit, the least expensive city on the list, you would get an astronomical 83,333 square feet for $1 million. [Business Insider]
