Sunnyside Flip Doubles in Value in Only Seven Months

This two-bedroom, one-bathroom at 142 Marston Avenue isn't as expensive or designer-laden as many of the other flippers around the city, but it's still looking to more than double in value in only seven months after a quick remodel. The house, which was originally built in 1910, sold for $300,000 last July and is now back on the market for $649,000 with new stainless steel appliances, engineered hardwood floors and a remodeled bathroom. It has outdoor spaces in both the front and back, although the backyard doesn't look exactly inviting. · 142 Marston Avenue [Redfin]
