Big-time developer Tishman Speyer—currently developing Lumina and 222 Second—have reportedly hired Chicago architect Jeanne Gang to design a new downtown skyscraper. While the details of the deal are still fuzzy, the project will be located near the new Transbay Transit Center where many of the city's tallest buildings are being erected. Gang, considered by many to be the top female architect around, is best known for the Chicago tower Aqua, an 82-story highrise. [SFGate/Curbed SF/Curbed Chicago]
