Sunset Gardening

New, 1 comment

The paved-over front yards that populate properties in the Sunset may soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new program to help residents replace the concrete with gardens. The program provides funding for new, drought-resistant front yard gardens to collect runoff and rainwater that would otherwise drain into the city's sewer system. Ten residences are part of an initial pilot program, and applications for a second round of planting are open now. [SF Examiner]
