Mission Bay's Mercy Housing Complex Sets June Opening Date

Mercy Housing's rapidly rising complex at 1180 4th Street has set a June opening date and started taking applications for its 149 units. 99 of the available apartments will house low-income families, while 50 are reserved for formerly homeless families. When the complex is completed, it will include a giant outdoor movie screen in the courtyard, a lobby with a framed view of the bay, and features specific to supportive housing such as a community room with after-school programs for children. The project is also currently taking calls from potential restaurants to fill the ground-floor space on the corner of 4th and Channel streets. The additional retail space along 4th Street will be filled by a mix of commercial tenants. The building is designed to exceed a LEED® for Homes Midrise Gold rating.
