The new Hidden Cities exhibition put on by SOMArts opened this weekend and features 26 moving and still images and interactive, site-specific installations rethinking urban space in San Francisco. The curator, Pireeni Sundaralingam, says that the exhibition "makes an urgent claim for the importance of seeking out the hidden and the unseen in San Francisco." Pieces include large-scale maps, a kite installation, two photo series and a work made of LED lights and salvaged materials. [SOMArts]
