Here Now, Fresh Renderings of Transbay Blocks 6 and 7

New, 1 comment

A 32-story tower and 8-story mid-rise are going up along Fremont street, kitty-corner to Tishman Speyer's Lumina condo development. While a number of different architects have released designs for the site over the last few years, the final iteration of the project is the work of Solomon Cordwell Buenz. Renderings showcasing the glassy residential tower are posted on the architect's website, which also includes a first glimpse at the wood-clad townhomes set to rise just behind the main building on Clementina Street. When complete, the development will bring 409 new market-rate units and 147 units of affordable housing to the booming Transbay neighborhood. Construction crews have commenced excavation for the tower at Block 6 and the townhomes at Block 7, which are both scheduled for completion in 2015.
