The Road to 30,000

In an effort to construct 30,000 new housing units by 2020, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and his staff have come up with some basic ideas to attain their mark. "Cutting through red-tape" in the permit office, prioritizing projects based on the amount of housing that will be added, and reducing the loss of existing housing are three focus points for the administration, although specifics of how these will be enacted aren't yet available.
