Last Week's Top Sales: A Mini-Castle and a Born-Again Mansion

Listed for: $6.39M
Received: $6.08M
Size: 4-bed, 3.5-bath, 4,937-square-foot single-family home
Location: 549 El Camino Del Mar, Sea Cliff
The skinny: Back when this home listed in September, we were almost as impressed with the backyard play castle as we were with the home's carved wooden doors and its antique French fireplace mantles. Meanwhile, the mini-castle looks almost roomy enough to be its own Airbnb listing.

Listed for: $5.875M
Received: $4.995M
Size: 4-bed, 5.5-bath, 6,585-square-foot single-family home
Location: 601 Broderick St, NoPa
The skinny: Back in 2012, 601 Broderick landed on the market seeking just $995K as a somewhat decrepit-looking Baptist church. Developers bought it up for $1.401 million and proceeded to convert the structure back into its original use as a single-family home. Two years and one helluva (sorry) flip later, they made $3.594 million more than what they paid, though the sale price didn't quite reach up to the sky-high ask of $5.875 million.

Listed for: $3.45M
Received: $3.575M
Size: 4-bed, 4.5-bath, 4,400-square-foot single-family home
Location: 555 Valley St, Noe Valley
The skinny: This contemporary Noe swankfest landed on the market in November seeking $3.45 million. The whole place is so sleek it looks like it could be coated in polyurethane, a strategy that apparently went over well with the buyers, who paid a full $125,000 more than the asking price.
