Last Week's Biggest Sales: Two Posh Co-Ops at 1200 California

New, 1 comment

Listed for: $4.75M
Received: $4.45M
Size: 4-bed, 6-bath, 3,595-square-foot single-family home
Location: 1812 Lyon St, Pacific Heights
The skinny: Purchased for $1.9 million back in 2013, this home received a down-to-the-studs renovation and re-emerged with an ambitious $4.75 million ask. It underwent a few price chops after its early October listing before finally finding a buyer. Its plentiful outdoor space includes a "custom vegetable bed," and the living space stretches over four floors.

Listed for: $2.995M
Received: $2.9M
Size: 2-bed, 2-bath, 1,800-square-foot co-op
Location: 1200 California Unit 14B, Nob Hill
The skinny: The first of two big sales at 1200 California this week is Unit 14B, which was totally renovated and rebuilt before hitting the market. There's travertine marble everywhere and lots of built-in shelving. The open, airy feel makes the views all across the city from the floor-to-ceiling windows the focus point of the co-op.

Listed for: $3.295M
Received: $2.825M
Size: 2-bed, 3-bath, 2,408-square-foot co-op
Location: 1200 California Unit 11C, Nob Hill
The skinny: Another 1200 California co-op, this one previously owned by interior designer Ronald Crosetti, originally wanted $3.295 million when it came on the market last spring. It delisted in June, and by the time it reappeared in October the price was cut down to $2.995 million. The co-op features exotic woods in the kitchen and a humongous master suite, but its real attraction is views looking right down on top of Grace Cathedral.
