Flower Mart Wire

Despite promises from developer Kilroy Realty that Flower Mart tenants will be given five-year leases at their current rental rates, some tenants say that they have not received written guarantees of lease extensions beyond the end of this year. The new San Francisco Flower Market Association, which represents about half of the tenants, has requested a 60-day lease extension to look at the new leases that have gone out and those still to come. The California Flower Market's executive vice president maintains that both one- and five-year leases will be offered to all tenants, who will have until the end of January to sign.
