From Macy's to Ghirardelli Square, pretty much the entire city is wrapped in a jumble of extension cords, enabling us all to focus on the contours of objects like we do at no other time of year. The holiday spirit being very electricity dependent, we bring you a garishly pleasant tour around the city, featuring PG&E power users from City Hall to the Fairmont Hotel to, of course, Tom and Jerry, who spend more than $1,000 on their electric bill every December.
