The estimated cost of the city's new consolidated office building on the eastern half of the Goodwill site at Mission and Van Ness just shot up nearly 30 percent. The city had been planning to pay $253 million to the developer, Related California, but now that actual development costs for the 466,000-square-foot project have been calculated, city officials are looking at something to the tune of $327 million.
