First Look Inside Amero's Super-Sized Cow Hollow Condos

New, 2 comments

The new condo building Amero has only 27 units, but it's about to make a big splash in Cow Hollow, where it can claim the title of the only new construction in the neighborhood. And although the building, designed by architect NC2 for developer Trumark Urban, isn't huge, the units are very sizable compared with most new condos in the city. They range from 1,040 square feet to 2,430 square feet, with the bonus of a balcony on most units. Pricing has been announced for 10 condos that launched this week. It starts at $1.239 million for one of the smallest units, a two-bedroom, and heads on up to $3.5 million for a two-bedroom penthouse—itself with a deck whose size, at 754 square feet, would earn it a two-bedroom listing on Craigslist.

Amero has 15 two-bedroom units, 9 two-bedroom townhomes, and 3 three-bedroom townhomes. Nine of those condos were sold pre-construction, leaving 18 to sell. Ten of those just landed on the market, with the final eight released sometime around December or January. Buyers have likely been attracted by the units' large, almost suburban-scale interiors and designer finishes. There are Domus & Domus Italian cabinetry and Bosch appliances in the kitchen, DuChateau Como gray-oak-plank hardwoods, and an Audra freestanding soaking tub inside the bathrooms of some units.

As for communal amenities, the lobby will have an entrance path enclosed by a waterfall, and there's a 3,000-square-foot roof deck with the obligatory fire pits, barbecues, and stunning views out to the Golden Gate Bridge, Russian Hill, and Pacific Heights. One of biggest amenities, especially for Cow Hollow, is parking. Every unit has at least one parking space, with the penthouse units getting two.
