SF's 17th Most Expensive Home Just Got $505K Cheaper

Though it emerged victorious from the real estate deathmatch we staged back in June between this property, the princely three-bedroom at 2865 Vallejo, and an interloper from Cow Hollow that had size on its side, the Vallejo abode hasn't managed to find a buyer in its four-plus months on the market. The 1929 Mediterranean-style home originally listed for $7.5 million (an ask that landed it in the No. 17 spot on our list of the 25 most expensive homes for sale in SF), but this weekend it dropped down to $6.995 million in hopes of landing a buyer. Perhaps three bedrooms is a bit wee for the $7 million mark, even for a location just a block off the Presidio. If it makes you feel any better, Champ, your opponent slinked back off the market not three weeks after listing.
