Google has announced plans to buy half of Redwood City's gigantic Pacific Shores office campus, thus adding almost a million square feet to its portfolio. Google has been making big real estate moves from Mountain View up to San Francisco all year, but this would be its biggest yet. It would also potentially open up the option of commuting by ferry for Google workers since the campus is right around the corner from the Port of Redwood City.
