Opponents of an office building proposed for the site of the San Francisco Flower Mart in SoMa have filed paperwork to get a measure on the November 2015 ballot that would block the development, and Flower Mart managers have responded with claims that the ballot threat is not helping their negotiations with developer Kilroy Realty. The development opponents, led by former mayor Art Agnos, want Flower Mart tenants to be involved in those negotiations. Kilroy, meanwhile, has reiterated its promise to keep the Flower Mart on the site and said that an announcement about the mart's future could be coming soon.
