Most multi-unit properties that come on the market in San Francisco are rather uninspiring. The grand Victorian at 1100-1104 Fell Street does not fit that description at all. This big old building contains six stunning units, all of which are filled with period details that have been perfectly preserved. There are ornate fireplaces, each of them different, stained-glass windows, built-in shelving, brackets, medallions, and decorative Anaglypta wallpaper. The kitchens and bathrooms, however, have been updated with top-of-the-line finishes that include stainless steel appliances and Ann Sacks tiling.
The apartments, all of which are vacant, range from a one-bedroom all the way up to two four-bedrooms, and some even have two bathrooms. The building is now up for sale for $4.49 million. We hope that whoever shells out all of that cash for it doesn't change a thing—except perhaps some of the fruit salad-inspired period lighting.
