Construction watchers are used to counting cranes on the skyline, but SPUR editorial director Allison Arieff offers us another metric for measuring the construction boom: the Porta-Potty count. Last spring, between Glen Park and the Mission, Arieff counted 22 portable toilets; by last month, the potty count doubled in half the distance.
