Rental website Apartments.com came out with a list of the 14 most expensive neighborhoods for renters, and Yerba Buena clocked in at number three. Topping the list, which singles out one neighborhood in each of the 20 most expensive cities in the US, are Manhattan's Garment District and Brooklyn's DUMBO. Yerba Buena's average rent for a one-bedroom, $3,643/month, certainly helped, but the site also factored in the overall cost of living and the proportion of monthly income that renters part with to make ends meet. Oakland's Golden Gate came in fifth, with an average rent of $2,695 for a one-bedroom. [Curbed inbox]
