The skinny: The Beaux-Arts residences at 840 Powell are eye candy, so it's always surprising when when sits on the market for some time. This particular unit has been listed since April of 2013. The building is very formal and has a doorman.

The skinny: It's no secret that the 900 and 1000 blocks of Green are highly coveted pieces of residential real estate. It's one of the only flat blocks of the neighborhood, and prestigious luxury towers are perched next to gigantic single-family homes. This particular unit at 1070 Green takes of the entire northern half of the 15th floor, and has two terraces and walls of glass showcasing the incredible views. The home sold in June of 2013 for $3.075M, and was then put right back on the market a few months later. It finally sold on December 31 for below asking, but $500K+ more than it was purchased for just a few months prior.
