We might have some light rain today and tomorrow here in San Francisco, but California is no doubt in the midst of a terrible drought. As it continues, 17 communities in the state are in danger of running out of water within 60 to 120 days, and the bulk of them are in Northern and Central California. Even more unfortunate: most are smaller communities that don't have the funds or resources for backup water supplies or costly repairs to water infrastructure. [Merc]
