The Board of Supervisors will vote today on whether to add a ballot measure in June to allot $400,000,000 to finance the construction, acquisition, improvement, and seismic retrofitting all sorts of emergency services. These will include fire and police stations, the firefighting water supply, medical facilities, traffic facilities, and other critical infrastructure and facilities. The vote will also wrap in new rules authorizing landlords to pass-through 50% of the resulting property tax increase to residential tenants, which is sure to make some folks squirm.
