Basking in the success of the 8 Washington defeat, signatures are now being gathered in the campaign for a ballot measure that would strengthen waterfront development height limits along the Embarcadero. The Waterfront Development Height Increases Initiative needs 9,702 signatures by early February to place the initiative on the June ballot, but that shouldn't be hard considering the group behind the efforts. The campaign is backed by the same folks who were responsible for helping defeat the 8 Washington development in 2013. [SF Examiner]
