The City's Most Essential Restaurants; Best Juice Bars; More!

SAN FRANCISCO—The Eater 38 got its big quarterly update. Find out what we think are San Francisco's most essential restaurants.

SAN FRANCISCO—The juice is loose! In honor of Racked SF's fitness week, we rounded up SF's 12 best juice bars.

SAN FRANCISCO—New restaurants are attempting to address SF's lack of late-night eating options. We made a list of all the ones that opened in 2013, with info on how late the kitchen stays open.

SOMA/LOWER HAIGHT—The big openings this week: Little Skillet expanded into a bar with the new Victory Hall & Parlor next door, and Three Twins Ice Cream finally emerged from the Haight and Fillmore fire with its revamped Lower Haight location.

THE MISSION/FINANCIAL DISTRICT—Also on the openings radar: new bakery Sweetmue, which infuses Asian flavors into French pastry, and the fourth SF location of popular chain Super Duper Burgers.

THE MISSION—A big shakeup went down at the kitchen of Broken Record, which has a new chef and a new name: Hood Grub.

WINE COUNTRY—Both of the Bay Area's three-star Michelin restaurants had pastry chef shuffles this week, with new blood taking the top pastry jobs at The French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood.
