Construction is underway on the first 88 homes of a planned 12,000 in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood. The 20-year long development also includes the soon-to-be-vacated Candlestick Park (or whatever it's called these days), which is expected to be demolished around this time next year. Developer Lennar Urban plan to replace the stadium with a retail center that "could include a 3,000- to 4,000-seat arena."
