Berkeleyside has a fabulous roundup of the first vehicles to drive across the new eastern span of the Bay Bridge yesterday. Vintage cars with police escorts were photographed by Pete Rosos crossing the bridge, one with Mt. Governor Gavin Newsom looking very pretty for his photo op. Folks lined up in their cars for several hours to be able to be one of the first vehicles to drive across the new span. [Berkeleyside]
