You Save: $1,000,000 Back in May, 2255 Mariposa in Potrero Hill was listed for $5.995M, making it the 14th most expensive home for sale in San Francisco. Shoot forward to present day and the property has taken $1M off its asking price, and the ownership has been revealed. The 8,000-square-foot home belonged to the late New York art dealer and collector Allan Stone, who used the space as his San Francisco home and office. The main house has five bedrooms and four bedrooms, as well as outstanding views of the Bay Bridge and Marin Headlands. Stone paid $575K for the property in 1987, and then did a complete renovation. The property also has a 1,200-square-foot guesthouse with views of Twin Peaks.
