Another day, another appeal - this time surrounding the environmental review exemption for the use of a 10,000 sq.ft. two-story building as an Internet Services Exchange. The building had been used for the same purpose from 2000-2010 without any complaints, but now neighbors are throwing a huff over the potential for smoke and generator noise. Back in July the project was approved by the Planning Commission with the condition that department staff report back on the status of things in six months. Since everything got approved, the appeal is drafted over the lack of environmental review and is heading to the Board of Supervisors.
