Muni Upgrades

New, 2 comments

Plans are underway to increase service and speed up travel times in the Market Street Subway. Beginning as early as next month, Muni will begin running 3-car shuttles from the Embarcadero to the West Portal stations during rush hour to relieve congestion. They will also begin tests on "double berthing," allowing two trains to board in one station at a time, increasing the total amount of trains they can run per hour. If the tests go well expect to see more trains in early November. [SF.StreetsBlog]
