Latham Square in downtown Oakland will relaunch as a pedestrian plaza on August 16. The plaza, located at the intersection of Broadway and Telegraph, will use reclaimed materials from the maintenance yard to convert car space into people space using "temporary surface treatments and perimeter planters/bollards."
