All signs are pointing to a start this year for a Heller Manus-designed 700' mixed-use tower that will be adjacent to the new Transbay Transit Center. RocketSpace has vacated the existing building at 181 Fremont and demolition permits were issued on August 6. Updated information on the official website lists a fourth quarter 2013 construction start and a third quarter 2015 occupancy. When completed the tower will feature offices up to the 36th floor, residential from floors 39 to 54 and a 2-story deck in between. A 25' grand lobby and a 5th floor sky bridge connecting the building directly to the Transbay Center rooftop park will also be featured.
