Would the Presidio be a Good Home to Batting Cages?

New, 2 comments

West Crissy Field, home to House of Air and Planet Granite, could be getting even more indoor activity space in the future if a determined group of baseball fans get their way. According to the project's Facebook page, the Presidio Batting Cages would be the only public facility of their kind in the city and be designed for the enjoyment of all San Franciscans. The proposal is still in the very early stages, and no exact location for the batting cages has yet been selected. Unfortunately, it appears that the Presidio Trust has already rejected the project sponsor's lease proposals for two different buildings, but that isn't deterring those who want the cages built. What's your take, readers? Would indoor batting cages be a good fit for the Presidio?
