Saving the Bay

In the North Bay, a new pipeline is being built as part of the final phase of a massive wetlands restoration project. It will deliver treated water to salt ponds in order to bring the bay and wildlife back to nearly 640 acres of the Napa-Sonoma State Wildlife area. The project has helped restore 10,000 acres of wetlands since the mid-1990s. [Mercury News]
