Tracking Three High Profile Towers: Transbay to Rincon Hill

Welcome to San Francisco Rising, where we check in on the status of new towers contributing to San Francisco's increasingly tall skyline. Want to know more about a specific tower? Leave a comment after the jump or drop us an email.

Tower: 350 Mission Street
Height: 424 feet, 30 floors
Architect: Skidmore Owings & Merrill
Specs: 420,000 sq. ft. office space (fully leased by Salesforce.com), 5,400 sq. ft. ground floor retail, 9,650 sq. ft. public open space
Currently: The basement floors have been completely excavated and reinforced, and this weekend the crane was being erected indicating this one will begin to grow much faster in the near future. Expect to see the elevator core rise above street level soon, with the building frame to follow.

Tower: One Rincon Hill Phase 2
Height: 550 feet, 52 floors (according to the builders website)
Architect: Solomon Cordwell Buenz
Specs: 505,000 sq. ft., 299-units, 18 parking stalls, top floor sky lounge, fitness center.
Currently: The elevator core appears to have been poured to about the 40th story, with the floor plates just a few floors behind. Installation of the glass skin has begun on the western and southern sides of the building. Expect to see this one continue to progress rapidly and begin to look more like its bigger brother next door everyday.

Tower: 181 Fremont
Height: 700 feet (800 to top of spire), 54 floors
Architect: Heller Manus
Specs: 404,000 sq. ft. office space, 74 residential units, 2,000 sq. ft. retail, underground parking, 2-story mid-building sky deck, bridge to Transbay Transit Center and a 25 foot vaulted lobby entrance.
Currently: Former tenant RocketSpace have found a new home, and the demolition permits were issued August 6 to demolish the two existing structures. Some reconnaissance this week shows the entire structure fenced off and interior demolition, at the very least, has already begun.
