1634-1690 Pine Street is a project that dates all the way back to 2004. It's a pretty big undertaking for those neck of the woods – partial demo of five vacant one-to-two story buildings to build two 13-story residential towers with ground floor retail, with three of the existing building façades restored and incorporated. The Kwan Henmi-designed towers are supposed to hold 262 condos (24 studios, 120 one-bedrooms, and 118 two bedrooms), 5,600 sq.ft. of retail, and 245 underground parking spots. After years and years of studies, the Planning Department announced this past March that an Environmental Impact Report was finally getting prepared, which we can probably expect it sometime this winter/next spring. In the meantime, Oyster Development has released a fancier rendering of the proposed buildings for your viewing pleasure.
