Bike Share Countdown

New, 4 comments

We are officially two days away from being able to rent a bicycle form a kiosk 24 hours a day...for 30 minutes at a time. The Bay Area Bike Share Program launches this Thursday with 700 bicycles spread from San Jose to San Francisco. Most of the kiosks in San Francisco will be located downtown and in SoMa, will cost $9 for a day pass, $22 for a three-day pass, or $88 for a yearly pass. If our bike share program is anything like our counterparts on the east coast, expect some hiccups and complaints while the system is perfected. [SF Appeal/Curbed NY/image via Bay Area Bike Share]
