When one seeks to own a slice of the Lewis W. Butler-designed 1001 California, you assume it's because of its curb appeal and location. The units are all jaw-dropping gorgeous, though they have a hard time selling because of high asking prices and high monthly HOA dues. For this particular unit, it might be because the 3-bed, 3.5-bath, 4,318 square foot townhouse has stark contemporary interiors. While lovely, they clash with the exterior's romantic Beaux-Arts facade. Like we said in our earlier post about the this property, we're more fond of the units in the building that do it up with the glamour and opulence. The townhouse first came onto the market in February asking $5.5M, and has just reduced its price to $4.75M. Readers, think this price reduction will entice a buyer? Let us know in the comments.
